In 2018, Rubius celebrated its 10th anniversary — and 2018 has been the greatest year in our company's history!

The company's turnover increased by 23%, and revenue from sales of our own products has increased by 5 times. We have a new office in Kazakhstan, the Rubius name is registered as a trademark, and we're now a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner. What else?

World-class products

Sales of our company's own products has increased, making up 13.5% of our turnover! The number of Planyway users has passed 135,000, with companies like Toyota, Shell, Microsoft, and Tesla among them, as well as a few dozen other global top 200 companies. This year, our soundproof Qubius booths finally saw the light of day. Qubius cabins have already been purchased for the upcoming Skolkovo co-working center. Currently, we're sending a tester booth to Yandex and scaling up production in Europe.

Successful appearances

In the Open Innovations Startup Tour, we took first prize (4 500 $) with Planyway and second prize with Qubius. We were ranked among the 20 most promising companies at Global Pitch Russia in San Francisco, and we presented our success story at Russian Startups Go Global.

The team and perks

This year, 20 new team members joined our ranks for a total of 120. Our average yearly salary increased by 13%. We've also had a breakthrough in the number of new perks for our employees: health insurance plans covering up to 300,000 rubles, a top-of-the-line massage chair, an electrically operated massage table for visiting masseurs, a private barber, fresh nuts and natural teas in our kitchen, a free taxi service, an electric scooter, discounts on Rubius Academy classes for team members and their families, and so much more. We've even begun producing our own modern, handcrafted furniture, with 20 beautiful wooden tables inspiring our team members to think creatively.

Rubius Academy tested out a new intensive course format with some of the most in-demand topics: QA, machine learning, management, copywriting, and more. The number of students this year has doubled, reaching a total of 605 students (from 44 companies). In addition, we held courses on working with big data and augmented reality for production company employees, officials, and top-level management of the country's leading universities.

DevPRO developer conference practically filled the city to bursting: 718 participants from 5 countries around the world! We launched the large-scale Tomsk HUB project to get students involved in entrepreneurship, with more than 500 people participating in just 2 months. We also launched the DevSauna accelerator for student developers, showing that the right group of 18 students working on the right tasks with the right mentors can change the world and simplify our everyday lives.

We'd like to thank you for being with us and helping us to make even our wildest plans a reality. 2019 is going to be even cooler. We promise. Stay tuned and subscribe to our news updates! Happy holidays!
