Rubius 2019 highlights: revenue increased by 23%, customers in 192 countries around the world, and a 134% growth in sales of our products. What else?
– Launched new cool projects
All this year, we’ve been working on 71 projects, including 40 new ones. Our developers have traveled halfway across Russia and traveled to the USA, Spain, Germany, France, and China to meet with customers. As a result, export volume accounted for half of the company's turnover, while Rubius entered the top 20 fastest-growing Russian companies.
– Increased products share in revenue from 13% to 18%
We have developed 2 new products: Polyphemus, an intelligent video analytics system, and Planyway for Jira. Polyphemus has already received 2 contracts and attracted $322 000 of investment. Currently, there are 200 000 Planyway users, while the customers include Apple, IKEA, and Walt Disney. We have also sold 775 Rubius Project Manager licenses and have shipped 39 soundproof Qubius booths to the top Russian companies.
We have founded the Rubius AdVentures investment fund with a capital of $806 000 a year to support perspective projects. Moreover, we invested in Dorooma, a repair costs estimation system, and received a dozen partnerships proposals.
– Expanded our team and made the office more comfortable
132 great specialists work at Rubius, and we keep growing. Now, there are 9 open vacancies. Over the year, the company has invested $121 000 in employee training. This includes compensation for courses and conference participation as well as bonuses for studying professional literature and teaching.
The area of our office has increased to 1 200 m2, and we have also started a large-scale reconstruction. Soon, Rubius will have a new spacious kitchen, summer terrace, and a parking area.
– Pumped 3 000 specialists
This year, we have held DevPRO for 2 days for the first time. The conference attracted 800 IT specialists from 8 countries. 18 developers, designers, and project managers have been trained in our DevSauna incubator. Together with Tomsk State University, we have opened the Laboratory of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
At our study center Rubius Academy, we helped 893 people to improve their skills. We have also taught 1000 young people to generate and implement business ideas under the Tomsk HUB project.
At the end of the year, we held an accelerator, became mentors for 19 startups, and offered a partnership to two most impressive teams.
