Rubius co-founder Sergey Dorofeev and Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of Russia's Security Council, have discussed prospects of regional digitalization. At the meeting, Dorofeev urged not to reduce IT funding, especially during the crisis, since the right IT solutions can have a strong social and economic effect. Such examples are projects developed by Rubius, including the Polyphemus video analytics system and a service for controlling companies’ work during lockdown. Thanks to them, the Tomsk region is now among the 4 most advanced regions using digital technologies to fight the coronavirus. Medvedev supported Dorofeev's initiative and promised to push it forward on the federal level.
