The customer

Manufaqtury is a proptech startup that offers companies built-to-suit offices. They seek businesses, collect their requirements, invest in construction, and then offer a client a long term lease of commercial office space. Sberbank and Ferronordic (selling, repairing and maintaining services of construction equipment) use Manufaqtury services.

The problem

The shift to remote and hybrid work has left the offices empty. Office building owners have to get rid of large premises in favor of small ones. Adapting to this new work reality might not be an easy process and Manufaqtury is working on making that transition easier. Manufaqtury had an idea of providing their clients with meeting room, and desk booking service. The company had a general concept of the desk booking software, and they contacted Rubius for detailed analytics and system development. 

The solution

We used our experience in product development and together with Manufaqtury we defined the necessary functions of the service. We selected an iterative approach and regularly provided the customer with the new features for review.

The benefits of using the app:

  • Select a workspace based on your preferences in location, office capacity, availability, and the accessories you need for the meeting.
  • Book via calendar: the tool integrates with the workplace technologies you use so that you can get all notifications by email.
  • Enjoy 3D Office Tours: Rubius transformed the standard office plans into 3D Tours where each desk is clickable with a pop-up of the list of tools it is equipped with, e.g., monitor, lamp, plant, etc.
  • Manage the user access: depending on the job title, various rooms are available for booking.
  • Use domain authorization: there is no need to additionally log in to the service if the user is already logged in under a corporate account.

Additionally, we offered several ideas to improve the original product concept. For example, discarding the large images of equipment in 3D tours accelerated the work of the application, and reduced the budget and project terms.
