Our customer, PIK Project, is the design office of a large real estate developer with over $5 billion revenue. The design office has 2000 architects, designers and engineers who live in 120 cities around the world and work remotely. 

One of the biggest problems was to control the workload of employees. To track employees’ performance, we designed a human resource management system in cooperation with PIK Project analytics team.

Problem

The system aggregates big data to control the work of their employees and team members of their customers. It designs complex dashboards with various visual components and styles. We developed an interface, UI component library and created a mobile version of the service of the hr management system. The users can easily access, interact with, and modify visualizations regardless of the mobile device size. The system is used daily by top managers of the company, team leads and all the staff members.

Solution

Out human management system collects information from time trackers installed on computers, business calendar and other planning tools. The result is a report containing employees’ productive time, hours spent on tasks, terms and volumes of the tasks. Then, the service generates dashboards for managers on team performance review, labor costs and KPIs, and individual employee productivity reports.

Key features of HRM:

  • accurate track of hours spent on tasks, meetings, and work on the Revit file
  • sorting total working hours by days, weeks and specified periods;
  • comparison of working hours with data from time tracker;
  • tracking the status of requests in technical support;
  • setting a plan for a certain period of time;
  • automating KPIs to evaluate monthly work results.

Top management and project team leaders use the HRM to:

  • track individual performance of employees daily;
  • compare departments and project teams with each other according to the number of completed and overdue tasks, performed work plans and KPIs, the ratio of planned and actual hours spent on tasks;
  • make management and personnel decisions based on the received data.

The system ensures well-coordinated work of a remote team, and increases the personal self-control of employees. This allowed PIK Project to optimize work processes and automate calculating bonuses.
